RAWA KESARI - రవ్వ కేసరి 

(SUJI HALWA OR SOOJI HALWA)


Rawa kesari is the simple sweet dish you can make to offer god as naivedyam on festival days. Rawa or rava Kesari (Kesari Halwa) is a popular South Indian sweet dish which is a different version of Sooji ka Halwa.



INGREDIENTS:


Suji (Semolina / Bombay rawa) - 1/4 Kg

Cashews - 10

Cardamom - 2

Water - 1/2 liter
Sugar - 1/4 kg
Ghee - 2 tbsp.
Raisins - 4
Orange color - pinch full

PREPARATION:
Heat ghee in a cooking pan. Fry cashews and raisins and take them in a bowl.Fry suji for 2 minutes In same pan on low flame.Take water in another pan and let them boil.Add this boiling water to suji and stir continuously using ladle so that there should not be any lumps.Add sugar to suji and water mix.Add cashews, raisins and cardamom powder.Add color. Add 1 tsp. of ghee and stir them all well.Cook for few more minutes.Tasty rava kesari is ready to serve.
